![]() Download this zip file containing westernized EurasiaChess 3D Chessmen theme for BabasChess (great free Chess software, allowing play against computer or network play with FICS: Free Internet Chess Server): install: unzip the files to a BabasChess directory, then select EurasiaChess board and pieces in option/preference menu. note1: There's currently some display bugs with such pieces taller than squares. BabasChess developper is currently being sent some request about this issue. I'll keep you informed here of any info on that subject. Waiting the fix, you can maximize/restore-down BabasChess window after moves. note2: each Players, and especially the white chess Player, see his/her own pieces as Black and the opponent's one as White. That could have been disturbing, however experimentation shows that it is not really a problem, as such piece colors is only a way to differentiate your own pieces from opponent’s one. You'll simply have to learn to play against sicilian defense with black pieces ;) |

![]() This zip file contains ZRFs (you'll need first to buy Zillions of Games) for Shogi, and mini-Shogi. They share same set of pieces graphics (EurasiaChess wood, round & color, mixing both Japanese Kanji representation, and improved European Chess symbol set), thus enabling a fast learning (of moves and Japanese Kanji) and easy discover of Shogi. Moreover, mini-Shogi is advised for quick learning of Gold&Silver token moves. You'll find a more detailed description on ChessVariants. PS: In its Demo version, Zillions of Games is offering mini-Shogi only. In case you don't like default graphics, you can use these instead (to be unzipped in images/Shogi directory). |

![]() Chaturanga for four players (also called Chaturaji) probably originated in India about 1000 years ago, and is believed to be a development of 2-handed Chaturanga (with dices), itself assumed to be the oldest known form of chess. Download this zip file (v1.1 / Feb'09) containing ZRFs (you'll need first to buy Zillions of Games) for the modern-variant of Chaturaji. This version without dices is an implementation of the modern variant (played in India untill 19th century). This game is very strategic, and you'll enjoy playing at 2, 3 (2 vs 1+1) or 4 players. You'll find a more detailed description on ChessVariants. |
